DNA Base Pairing

Erwin Chargaff - 1950 - Chargaff recognized certain patterns in the presence of the 4 bases (adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine) in DNA. Based on these patterns, Chargaff determined that the number of A molecules is equal to the number of T molecules, and the number of G molecules is equal to the number of C molecules.
