DNA Structure

Rosalind Franklin, Maurice Wilkins, and Raymond Gosling - 1953 - Franklin, Wilkins, and Gosling worked together to perform x-ray diffraction analysis , revealing that the DNA molecule has a helical shape and ladder-like molecular rungs.

James Watson and Francis Crick - 1953 - Using the research of Franklin and the many researchers before, Watson and Crick developed a double helix model of DNA. Their initial model has remained relatively unchanged since its introduction to the world over 50 years ago.
